Working with vTiger Since 10+ year I did lot of implementation and changes for many customers and prospects. Recently for one of my client I implement customization of adding Sort field in Custom filter to add more flexibility to user to display listing with default sort set by user.
By default there is no remove button in comments list. You can add comment, edit it or reply comment. But you can not delete it. Here is detail instruction how you can add this functionality. To implement this you need access to change core Vtiger files.
Vtiger CRM gives us an excellent opportunity to create fields quickly and easily in any module. But there is a catch with this approach. In the field editor, you can set the field title, even its length, but when creating a field, the system assigns a name to the newly created field automatically, and the name will be completely unreadable, such as cf_997. Where cf is abbreviated "Custom Field", and 997 is the number of the new field.
Programmers and developers are wondering: "How to connect modules in Vtiger CRM among themselves?". At the same time, the most common connection between modules is one to many. This connection means that in the card of the parent (main) module there is a field in which you can select the desired record of the subsidiary module. And in the card of the subsidiary module there is a tab, when you click on it you can see all the records associated with this card.
Vtiger supports a huge number of field types: text, currency, date, percent, and so on. However, in the field manager it is not possible to create a field associated with another module.
